At last nights meeting, during public comment, a resident asked the board why every village event must have alcohol served. The resident pointed out an end of summer event in which children will be present as will the service of alcohol. Why does every event in this village have to include alcohol? the resident asked.
Another resident questioned the Boards practice of waiving fees for permits and even went as far as to say something to the effect of it felt like the good ole boy network; an organization gives money for one thing and we (the village) turns around and waive a permit for them.
Do residents want alcohol served at village events? Is alcohol needed needed at every event? I don't know? What does the blogger world think?
